More little things YOU can do

Just a short update today. Here are a couple of things YOU can do to help the environment. The first is simple: buy Tropicana orange juice. For one thing the fiber used to make the cartons is certified by the Sustainable Forestry Initiative. For another they've teamed up with the nonprofit group coolearth each carton has a special code on it and for each code you enter on their website they will pay to preserve 100 square feet of rainforest! Home for indigenous peoples and vanishing species. I've already preserved 500 square feet : )

The second thing is donating old jeans that are full of holes. National Geographic Kids is doing a denim drive, open to adults and kids. The jeans (and denim clothing) will be given to Cotton From Blue to Green and recycled into insulation for houses for victims of natural disasters. Just send your jeans with your name and the number of jeans you sent to:

NG Kids/Set a Guinness World Record
P.O. Box 98001
Washington, DC 20090-8001

Hurry the jeans must be recieved by June 30.
